Who are we?

Dragana Van de moortel

I was born as Dragana Ilić on August 14th 1962 (04h45 a.m.) in Kikinda, Yugoslavia. During my work at the university of Novi Sad (Vojvodina, Yugoslavia) as a research assistant in organic chemistry, I did not know that astrology, with which I had been fascinated during many years, would be strongly linked with my life later. Afterwards, I achieved the diploma of the Faculty of Astrological Studies (FAS) in London (D.F.Astrol.S.). I also completed a training in marketing and management at the MTC.
During the crises in Serbia and Yugoslavia, I worked hard to help people to recognize and understand their own way of life. Many times I appeared on Novi Sad and Belgrade TV and radio stations with the wish to enlighten a more philosophical and symbolical way of thinking. Since 1991 I have been doing professional consultancy work with individual clients and with companies, running a school of astrology and organizing lectures in Novi Sad with foreign lecturers.
Since 1999 I teach astrology in Belgium and in 2002 I became tutor for the FAS. In 2003, I translated and published Melanie Reinhart's book "Chiron and the healing journey" into Serbian. I lectured about astrology also in The Netherlands, Slovenia, the UK and India.

Together with my husband I made a course on CD-rom "Serbian language for beginners" for Dutch speaking people.

In 2016 I obtained a master's degree in Cultural Astronomy at the University of Wales, about medieval frescoes in Serbia.

To relax, I like being in a Mediteranean environment, to swim and do belly dance.

Koen Van de moortel

I was born on april 8, 1962 (12h15) in Antwerpen, Belgium. Always being curious "how the universe functioned", I studied experimental physics (MSc) at the universities of Antwerpen and Gent. Since I discovered that many interesting subjects like astrology and parapsychology are left aside by most traditional scientists, I try to help to build bridges between the worlds of traditional and "proto-"science, by organizing lectures (more info in flemish) and doing astrological research. About that, I have given lectures in Belgium, Holland, the UK, the USA, Serbia and India.
To survive in this world, I have been geophysical research associate, programmer, mathematical analyst, etc. The last years I mostly act as a mathematics, physics and photography teacher (in schools and privately) and besides that, I wrote software for astrology and language study, I sell wine occasionally and I do photoshoots. In 2020 I wrote a book about pattern recognition and brainwashing in Flemish "Laat u niets wijsmaken!", and in 2021 a book about scientific measuring methodology and obtaining as much as possible out of data: "Meten is weten" ("Measuring is knowing") and accompanying software for regression analysis (mathematical modeling).

When I'm not working, I might be hiking in a bird reserve with my photocamera, climbing somewhere to hunt for minerals, reading about scientific research, listening to a concert, cooking a vegetarian meal with some good Belgian beer or French/Spanish wine for friends, or when I'm tired of all this: watching a good film...
I am a member of the "Society for Scientific Exploration", and of course "Werkgroep De Ronde Tafel" (Workgroup The Round Table) of which I'm founder.

Some of my favorite composers: Johann Sebastian Bach, François Couperin, Sylvius Leopold Weiss, Dietrich Buxtehude, Domenico Scarlatti, Antonin Dvorak, Edward Elgar, Arvo Pärt, and favorite performers: The King's Singers, Collegium Vocale Gent, L'Arpeggiata, Bernard Foccroulle, Octopus-kamerkoor, Vox Mago,...
Some of my favorite painters: René Magritte, Paul Delvaux.

A few of my favorite movies: "Powaqqatsi" (music: Philip Glass), "Dead man" (Jim Jarmush), "Amadeus", "Dances with Wolves", "Tous les matins du monde" (music: Le Sieur de Sainte-Colombe), "The purple rose of Cairo" (Woody Allen), "Daens" (Stijn Coninckx), "Il postino", "The witches of Eastwick", "Il vangelo secondo Matteo" (Pasolini), "Urga", "The cook, the thief, his wife and her lover" (Peter Greenaway), "La vita è bella", "Back to the future", "Schindler's list", "The sixth sense", "Ghost", "Salaam Bombay"...

Favorite wines: château La Ganne (Pomerol), château Kirwan & Rauzan-Gassies (Margaux), Léoville-poyferré & Gruaud-larose (Saint-Julien), and many more.

I have a son from my first marriage.
